Stone and Timber

There has been a nagging ache, where the ever present feeling of doom is present through world news, climate crisis and  individual sorrows. And yet, I can still find the love and beauty in small moments, too. This body of work is a personal look at moments through small 2"x2" watercolor and ink images. These moments are drawing from the good, the bad and the imagined. This is a body of work created through all of 2024, in hopes to serve as a personal record and therapeutic practice. 

Additionally, I will continue to explore the 3-D house structures started in 2023. The start is always with a house structure, the search for the stability , security and support of home, if we take away the stone and the timber, what holds us together?
